Thousands of students from Africa come to India every year to pursue their higher education dreams. They receive degrees in various disciplines, from Engineering, Sciences& Humanities, Law, Agriculture, Veterinary and Social Sciences, and later serve in their home countries in different capacities. Currently, India features among the top five overseas destinations for African students. About 25,000 African students are presently studying in 500 universities (both public and Private) in India.
Africa has emerged as a new center of growth for the world, with its ability for consumption, given the creation of a middle class and capital absorption. Africa’s GDP has grown three-fold in the last two decades, placing it second only to Asia.
During the last two decades, many African countries witnessed rapid growth. Demographically, Africa’s median age at present is 19, which is the strongest pillar of human resources. Hence, Africa’s leaders understand the undermining need for better education and employment opportunities for its youth across the continent.

NAAC accreditation is an important benchmark for Indian higher education institutions, and international students can play a pivotal role in achieving this or in maintaining accreditation through Diversity and Inclusivity, Global Exposureand Research & Innovation. The presence of International students will also reflect on the Quality of Education, Language Proficiency, Global Networking, Cultural Exchange and International Collaborations. It is our contention that even with institutions who care less for any accreditation as a benchmark of quality, the presence of International students certainly will reflect in a huge way in uplifting its current standards multi-fold.
